We all know now that we need to be looking after our planet, and its resources; helping to prevent further damage, slow climate change and figure out a more sustainable way to live on it.
We also know, but don’t always succeed, that we should look after ourselves too - our minds and our bodies, ourselves and each other.
There’s plenty of advice and pressure from every direction on how to be a health-guru-eco-superhero - but frankly, it’s not so easy to do everything, be everyone and change every detail all in one go; with work, family, budget restraints, real life! - and without feeling like a total hippy, if that's not your thing... On top of that, it seems to be pretty doable to 'live well' if you’re in a cosmopolitan, forward-thinking city, or are out in the countryside surrounded by wholesome folk and bunny rabbits.. but what about everywhere else?
Where do you even start? How do you go from town-dwelling, online-shopping, Netflix-addict (without cancelling your subscription!) to someone who feels like they’re doing their bit, making a difference to the future of the planet, ensuring your own health and happiness and making the most of life?
Little steps. Simple things. Learning why. Choosing your priorities, and making habits that stick. Grow hope to help with these; guiding you, gathering information, sharing appreciation and making these things practical and possible in normal, everyday life.
We can grow ourselves, our planet and our communities in simple ways, until we make the bigger changes happen; and feel better along the way.
